The Black Lips - Southern Flower Punk

The Black Lips are for sure going to be THE band to look out for. Their sound might not be always clean and crisp, but their raw energy, music writing and stage presences meshes together to give you chills when seen live. If they were to be clean, on-time and always on key, they wouldn’t be who and what they are. They are defining the southern youth rock of Atlanta and be for times to to come. 

I got to see them at Maxwell’s in Hobokan, NJ. They played alongside The Coathangers, and Turbo Fruits. They will be playing Silent Barn tonight in Brooklyn with the Turbo Fruits and the Siren Festival in Coney Island.
